Our History

Benton Farmers Co-op has been a part of Benton County history since 1947.  For 72 years, "The Co-op"

has been serving the needs of the people of Benton and surrounding counties with products for their crops, animals, homes, gardens, lawns, vehicles, and much more.

The original store was actually a house located on Natchez Trace Street just a few hundred yards from our current store, which was built in the early 1960s. Our current Car Center was built in 2001, and Donny Hunley serves as the manager. He has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive and tire industry.

The manager of our main store is Jacob Cunningham. He began his tenure at Benton Farmers Co-op in 2015 as assistant manager and was named general manager in August 2019. Some of our other Co-op general managers have included E.V. Markham, W.T. Carter, Danny Ware, Junior Lowry, Bob Hicks, Tommy Townsend, Bob Hand, Andy Lewis, Jim Miller, Phil Luther, Tommy Marrison, and Johnathon Jackson.

In the past seven decades, the Benton Co-op’s buildings and faces have changed, but the one thing that has not changed is the Co-op's commitment to our customers.  Our customers have allowed us to be a part of their lives over the years, and we consider it our privilege to continue to serve them for many more years to come.

As times have changed, so have we. tires and automotive services, to livestock feed, row-crop seed, crop nutrients, herbicides and insecticides, and hay equipment and supplies, we also carry rural lifestyle products like pet food and supplies, Muck boots, hunting supplies, candles, wind chimes, and bird feed, just to name a few.

If it's been a while since you visited the Co-op, stop in soon and let is show you how we can meet your needs for all your projects, large and small.
